The Ibeji Taiwo (Tai.yeh) necklace is made from glass beads sourced in limited batches from the Jakande artisanal market in Lekki, Nigeria. It comes in the option of malachite or carnelian pendant.
This necklace celebrates the cultural significance of twins in Yoruba culture and is named after the Yoruba Orisha Ibeji, who represents twins in the form of Taiwo and Kehinde. Taiwo, which means "The first to taste the world," is considered the younger twin in Yoruba belief, having been sent into the world first by Kehinde to determine if it is the right time to be born.
