Our Lagos shirt is back!

Made with adire-dyed funtua cotton that is local to Nigeria- a fabric that we use as a base cloth for most of our shirts every year.

It is named after Lagos, the most populous city in Nigeria and the African continent.

Our approach with this is part of our new process of trying as much as possible to work with materials that are immediately available to us.

The Jollof Wave print includes the various names of Jollof within West Africa.

Benachin (Gambia)

Ceebu Jën (Wolof)

Riz Au Gras (Togo)

Thiebu Djen (Senegal)

These words, on the cusp of our lips or on paper, add dimension and weight to Jollof’s mythology.

When you buy this shirt, like all our other products, please intend to wear them as often as you can. Clothing is meant to be put on the body, instead of being treated as a grail or a trophy.
